Rutgers Day

What a fabulous day we had yesterday. It was Rutger’s day, which all us “old timers” know is really Ag Field Day! We were able to spend the entire day with my son, Pete and his girlfriend, Melissa. It made me feel so happy that they actually WANTED to spend their Saturday off with us. They could have chosen to do anything else with their friends from 10:30am to 8:30pm on a sunny Saturday and THEY CHOSE US!!! How great is that?! It wasn’t always that way and I’m very grateful that it is now!

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start,Anyone can start from now and make a brand new future!

Intuition . . . Harry the Cleveland Cabbie

When he got off the phone with Harry, Bob asked me; “How were you so sure the phone was in the cab?” “I just felt it!” I said. I had no hard facts substantiating my certainty, which perplexed my skeptical husband. However, from the moment I met Harry I felt kindness and serenity radiating from him. He reminded me of Clarence from It’s a Wonderful Life! I believe that just like Clarence he sparked the faith that was dormant in my husband and reinforced my belief that there are no coincidences. To Belong

Another sunny, beautiful and glorious day!

This morning I was in the basement turning on the outside water faucets which had been drained for the winter. While in the storage closet I found my Rutgers acceptance letter!  I don’t know what made me look in that old box, but the letter was right on top RUTGERS, THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW JERSEY, Certificate of Admissions.   Made out to Barbara A. Senftinger.  “Typed” on a typewriter! I’m dating myself!

Peter is currently at Rutgers and my younger son, Richard, was admitted and will be attending in the fall. While we wanted to leave the options open for him, it was Richard’s first and only choice. His acceptance package remains on the kitchen table. This brings to mind the movie The Blind
