5 Sugars & Stir

I was recently told the story of the man in a diner put 5 sugars in his coffee. After running out he asked the waitress for more sugar.  She had watched him put the sugars in his coffee so asked him, “How about you stir it first?”

Isn’t that how life is.  We want more and don’t stir what we have. How much sweeter would life be if we just stirred what we had instead of looking for more? Look for the sweetness in your life and stir it up a little!

A Single Step

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” (-Lao Tzu)

This thought seems simple and one might think “of course”. Thoughts are often simple yet the actions associated with the thoughts are tricky. Where we get stuck is between our thoughts and actions. What gets us stuck and what keeps us stuck?

There is a belief out there that people are successful because they think BIG. Actually, people become successful by thinking small. Successful people don’t become successful by doing the BIG things, but by doing the small things over and over again.
