The Invisible Mother

When our children are growing up it’s as if we exist only for them. Sometimes we are only a pair of hands, nothing more! The invisible mom. We forget that these hands once held books and studied history, music & literature, but now disappear into the peanut butter, never to be seen again.

Our Stories Begins on Page One

This is dedicated to my dear friend Lisa who encouraged me to start a positive intention journal of what I wanted to manifest in my life. That was in 2007 and it is with deep heartfelt gratitude that I share this story with you.

The thought of writing anything in a journal made me uneasy. I didn’t see myself as a writer. Writing was always something that was challenging for me and I didn’t enjoy doing it. Yet, as I spoke with my friend about the power of positive intentions I thought I could write a list of wants rather than use sentences and paragraphs. Intuition . . . Harry the Cleveland Cabbie

When he got off the phone with Harry, Bob asked me; “How were you so sure the phone was in the cab?” “I just felt it!” I said. I had no hard facts substantiating my certainty, which perplexed my skeptical husband. However, from the moment I met Harry I felt kindness and serenity radiating from him. He reminded me of Clarence from It’s a Wonderful Life! I believe that just like Clarence he sparked the faith that was dormant in my husband and reinforced my belief that there are no coincidences. Two Sides to Every Coin

How do you interpret the world?  We all see the world through different lenses.  Although people may look at the same thing at the same time, their description could be very different. Disagreements arise from viewing a situation thru our own lens based on our own set of circumstances.  When our interpretations are challenged we naturally defend them and fight for what we believe.  Others react similarly when we challenge their interpretations. Nobody wants to be wrong!
